Oh man, Warblers are the best people! I've been so busy that I only just got around to being able to take pictures of my lifer Yellow-throated Warbler. Not only did this awesome guy stick around for me, he really hammed it up for the camera. What a pleasure to work with. You can get right in there and see the white supralores in the supercilium that distinguishes the Interior East race from the Southeastern race that has a yellow supralores. This is the same bird found by Joe Fell at Forest Lawn Cemetery on 24APR2014. 2 other Yellow-thorated Warblers have been found since then. What a treat that so many strayed out of their range for us here in Buffalo. I also found a beautiful Yellow-rumped Warbler that just begged me to take his picture. No problem, dude!
Before I post all the pictures, I wanted to mention that I created a big post outside of the blog feature for birders in the Western New York area that want to join the network. It has information about the WNYBIRDS text alert system and a bunch of great stuff. It should prove a great resource to send to people instead of explaining it or typing it out each time. The post is located under "Big Posts" on my website, and will always be there. You can see the post here:
